Fresh clashes erupted in Nepal’s Bara district on 20 November.<br />Authorities imposed a curfew and banned public gatherings after young protesters and CPN-UML supporters faced off again.<br />The administration said the curfew will continue until order is restored.<br />The tensions follow the September “Gen Z” demonstrations, during which at least 76 people were killed after anger over corruption and a brief social media ban escalated into wider unrest.<br />Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has appealed for calm and urged political groups to avoid provocation ahead of the 2026 elections.<br />Police said the situation is now under control, with no serious injuries reported.
