Fresh Maggots — Fresh Maggots 1971 (UK, Progressive, Folk Rock)

A folk-rock duo from Nuneaton (Warwickshire). The lineup consisted of two multi-instrumentalists, Mick Burgoyne and Leigh Dolphin, who played a variety of bells, pipes, keyboards, guitars, and other string instruments. In 1971, they released their first and final album, "Fresh Maggots," on RCA Victor. They were both 19 years old at the time. Critics praised the album, but sales were disappointing. After recording the album, creative crisis set in, and the band's career faded. The duo's career was short but vibrant. They created a blend of gentle pastoral songs and furious, powerful rock, using violin, harmonica, tambourines, and acoustic guitar, blasting the calm flow of the music with fuzz.

Tracks:

01.
