Claude’s life in Liberty City keeps getting worse. After handling a few explosive “errands” with 8-Ball — including blowing up that Cartel ship — he takes a small break… you know, the usual daily chaos of this city.<br /><br />Trying to wrap things up with Salvatore, Claude answers a series of shady phone calls from a suspicious dog-food factory near the docks. One job after another: taking out the owner’s enemies, delivering this “human-grade meat” to the junkyard, and silencing the factory owner’s wife after she learns way too much. Classic Liberty City cleanup.<br />(And yes — the correct procedure was to dump her into the water, not the crusher. Why is she the only exception? No one knows. Only the husband. Liberty City logic.)<br /><br />When Claude returns for a more “business-focused negotiation,” things fall apart: the factory’s creditor shows up, kills the owner, and takes over the operation. And Claude? He walks away like it’s nothing. Just another day on the job.<br /><br />Finally, Claude accepts one last mission from Salvatore… but everything feels off. <br />A late-night meeting. At the Don’s house. Alone. And suspiciously friendly compliments toward someone he barely knows. Very, very sketchy…<br /><br />While driving to “dispose” of the Don’s enemy — another body in the trunk meant for the junkyard — Claude’s pager goes off. Maria warns him: the car is a trap. He must meet her at the docks. Claude blows up the car to fake his own death, tricks Salvatore, meets Maria, and is introduced to Asuka. From now on, they’re hiding out on Staunton Island.<br /><br />Why betray Claude?<br />Loose ends? Fear? Paranoia?
