P.C. Kent — Upstairs Coming Down 1970 (UK, Psychedelic, Pop Rock)

Four friends were attending school in the glorious city of London. They bonded over a shared love of music and a fairly decent grasp of various instruments. Naturally, they soon came up with the original idea of forming a band. Since Paul Kent was the first to suggest it, they decided to call the group "P.C. Kent." The friends began performing actively at various school events and, over time, developed into quite accomplished musicians. In those fertile times for music, little miracles often happened! This was the case with our friends, who were soon noticed by producer Sandy Robertson, who worked at RCA Limited Records. In 1970, they signed a contract, and the group began working in the studio. That same year, they recorded and released the highly engaging album "Upstairs Coming Down." All the material was written by the musicians themselves, clearly influenced by The Beatles' "White Album." Therefore, it blended a variety of styles of the time. Paul Kent also possessed a powerful and versatile voice. However, since audiences at the time were overfed with excellent music, the album failed to make much of an impression, and the band broke up. In 1971, Paul Kent released a self-titled album on the B&C Label, which was distributed in Holland and other European countries. He currently lives in Buckinghamshire and pursues non-musical activities. Gavin Watson took up photography and album cover design for various bands. John Ward became a session musician. David Richards also played with a wide range of artists as a session musician.

Tracks:

01.
