SPECTACULAR SHOTS OF SEALIFE FROM ABOVE
WITH PIX AND VID
By Shuk Yee Tsang
Stunning drone footage captures marine life gliding through crystal-blue waters.
Geoffrey Aquino, a videographer, filmed these breathtaking moments along the Queensland Coast, including Noosa, Stradbroke, Moreton, Bribie, K’gari and the Great Barrier Reef.
The 52-year-old is known for his cinematic aerial style, shaped in part by being colour-blind, an experience that makes him focus more on light, movement, and form.
He shared that his inspiration comes from the natural harmony between land, ocean and people, and the beauty found in everyday moments across Australia’s coastline.
He added that the project spans years of commitment and thousands of kilometres of flight time.
Geoffrey said: “I’m drawn to the harmony between land, sea, and people turtles gliding, dolphins chasing waves, boats drifting over coral, or resorts waking up at sunrise.
“Being colour-blind changes how I see the world. I focus less on colour and more on light, form, and motion.
"That perspective gives my work a grounded, cinematic quality that feels real and timeless.
“Over the last two years, I’ve flown more than 15,000 kilometres, effectively a full lap around Australia.
“Every flight, every edit, and every moment is built on patience, respect, and years of experience along one of the most dynamic coastlines in the world.”
END
