Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Shai Hope hit half-centuries, but the West Indies squandered the advantage on day two of the opening Test against New Zealand in Christchurch.<br /><br />The Black Caps resumed on 231 for 9, and were all out without a run added.<br /><br />In response, West Indies were 100 for 2 at one stage, but were bundled out for 167, with Jacob Duffy taking five wickets.<br /><br />Batting a second time, New Zealand were 32 for no loss and have an overall lead of 96.<br />
