I gathered here some pictures and animations I created two years ago, during my first intership as a 3D artist and my last semester at the university of Hannover, in the Institute of Creative Design and Architectural Drafting. <br /><br />I cover some interesting effects you can create with your favourite 3D package (Maya, 3ds Max,...) and a good rendering engine (mentalRay, vRay, finalRender,...). <br /><br />You'll see some example of light effects: caustics, soft shadows, colour bleeding, global illumination. <br />Some water effects: realistic water from bump maps, Maya ocean. <br />Some smoke, fire and explosion effects. <br />And finally some cartoon effects, with toon-shading techniques. <br /><br />The music is free and available on www.soundsnap.com. <br /><br />As usual, comments are welcome, so don't forget to leave your opignon! <br /><br />See ya, <br />-Nath
