On October 3rd of that same year, sixteen boys and girls selected for the UN-sponsored Cosmic Culture Club (Space Experience Program), along with their chaperone Elizabeth Cleverly, were suddenly attacked by three of the four humanoid mobile weapons (SPTs) that appeared shortly after their arrival on Mars. Rescuing them from this dire situation was Albatross Nar Age Asuka, a boy piloting the blue SPT Reizner. He revealed himself to be a half-breed of Earthling and Gradosian, having come to warn them that Earth was targeted for military invasion by the planet Grados. Though Elizabeth and the five surviving students initially harbored suspicion and hostility toward him, they gradually warmed to him during their escape from the Grados' relentless pursuit, eventually calling him by his first name, “Age.” They then boarded Age's shuttle to flee Mars, embarking on the arduous journey back to Earth. <br />
