Lady Death is an animated film from 2004, based on the comic series of the same name. <br /><br />Content <br />The film begins in the 15th century in Sweden. Hope, the beautiful and innocent daughter of Matthias (an experienced mercenary who is actually Lucifer himself), is accused of being the devil's consort. Hope is sentenced by the town priest to be burned at the stake. Through a proxy, Matthias offers her life if she submits to him and joins him in hell. At first, she agrees to his terms, but Matthias' plan to corrupt her soon meets unexpected resistance, as Hope rejects his plan and eventually transforms into the powerful warrior Lady Death.
