TIGERS CHOMP DOWN ON PRESENTS AS FESTIVE ZOO ANIMALS ENJOY CHRISTMAS<br />WITH VID AND PIX<br />By Ben Rudd<br />Check out this festive footage of various Knowsley Safari animals enjoying their Christmas gifts.<br />The footage shows a family of amur tigers, also known as Siberian tigers, opening their gifts with the little cubs passionately enjoying their first Christmas.<br />A pair of Andean bears also got involved in the fun, playing with a custom made snowman, before knocking it down into pieces.<br />Also enjoying Christmas was the bison at Knowsley Safari, who were happily hopping around spruce trees.<br />A mob of meerkats were videos opening their Christmas advent calendars ahead of the big day before mischievously knocking all of the little boxes out onto the floor<br />An animal team spokesperson at Knowsley Safari said: “Enrichment activities encourage exercise and natural foraging behaviour, as well as delivering sensory stimulation, and Christmas time makes this even more fun for the animals and keepers alike!”<br />ends
