The third generation of the Nissan Leaf is now rolling off the production line at Nissan's upgraded plant in Sunderland. The automaker has invested £450 million in UK production of the new Leaf, as well as in operational processes and the supply chain. The start of production in Sunderland marks the realization of Nissan's global EV36Zero vision and the return of the vehicle that pioneered mass production of electric vehicles more than a decade ago.
