On the November 2, 1998 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, Eddie Guerrero and Perry Saturn squared off in a physical match that was part of their ongoing feud between the Latino World Order (LWO) and Saturn’s alliances. The bout started with Saturn ambushing Guerrero before the referee was even in the ring, delivering hard strikes, slams and a series of power moves that kept Guerrero on the defensive early. Guerrero fought back with a headscissors and a brainbuster, and both men traded high-impact offense, including a head-and-arm superplex and a top-rope guillotine legdrop for near falls. Just as the contest was underway, the rest of the LWO rushed in, beating down Saturn and leading to a disqualification finish rather than a decisive pinfall or submission. Afterward, Konnan came out, sparking a heated confrontation with Guerrero over LWO loyalty and dismissing Saturn’s involvement, which kept tension high in the angle and set up future extensions of their rivalry.
