A shocking murder case has surfaced in Varanasi, where 26-year-old Lakshmi was allegedly killed by her husband, Pradeep Mishra (46), an auto driver, following frequent disputes over her alleged love affair. The crime took place on December 19, while her body was recovered on December 21.

Police said Pradeep confessed that marital discord over the past six months drove him to the act. Lakshmi had reportedly left home thrice with her boyfriend and returned only on December 18. On December 19, Pradeep took her and their children to his sister’s house in Chandwak village and later took Lakshmi out on the pretext of a walk.

Near Kaithor village, he allegedly strangled her with a muffler, smashed her face with bricks to prevent identification, and hid the body in a field. The case appeared blind until tattoos “PL” and “GPL” on Lakshmi’s hands led police to Pradeep, who said they stood for Pradeep-Lakshmi and Guddu-Pradeep-Lakshmi.

Neighbours confirmed frequent fights, and an earlier complaint at Chaubepur police station had ended in counselling. Further probe revealed Pradeep is a history-sheeter with at least seven cases, including a murder, and had spent about 10 years in jail, with his property seized thrice.

Pradeep has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The couple’s children are currently with relatives and have not yet been informed of the tragedy.

#VaranasiMurder #CrimeNews #LoveAffairKilling #UPPolice #ShockingCrime #BlindMurderSolved #JusticeForLakshmi
