Though he bravely fought back, he suffered severe injuries. Rescued by Space Detective Gavan / Isshōji Retsu, who had also come to Mount Tsurugi searching for his father, he received treatment for his injuries on the technologically advanced planet Bird and fortunately recovered. Impressed by his courage in fearlessly confronting Makuu's monster, Commissioner Com of the Galactic Federation Police recruits him as a Space Detective.
