Although Nvidia tested Intel’s 18A production process, it chose not to proceed, reflecting ongoing doubts about Intel’s readiness to produce top-tier AI chips. Nvidia’s US$5 billion investment in Intel does not include any commitment to use Intel’s manufacturing.
