Lagos residents on Friday welcomed the US strike targeting 'ISIS terrorists' in Northwest Nigeria, with some claiming the country 'needs American intervention' to combat armed groups.<br /><br />"It's long overdue and we thank God for using Trump to do this," said Lateef Adesoji, a local "We have been clamouring for this. It's like our security, our kids are overwhelmed."<br /><br />"We are satisfied with what the Americans did. We're tired. It's great that the Americans are here to rescue us. We've been living in fear. We have no peace of mind," added another, Hameed Isaika.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Aborisa Sunday Dele warned "there is no place America is going to support," calling for the government to formalise a precautionary agreement with Washington before any further operations on Nigerian soil.<br /><br />"We need a cordial agreement before they can intervene in the West African nations, because we are not Caribbean, we are not Americans, we are Africans.
