Ice-skating champions Torvill and Dean are made a knight and a dame in the New Year Honours list, alongside actor Idris Elba, Keeping Up Appearances writer Roy Clarke, ex-politician and V&A director Tristram Hunt and comedian, writer and actress Meera Syal.
