Cherry People — Cherry People 1968 (USA, Bubblegum, Psychedelic Pop)

The core of this American "gang" were brothers Chris and Doug Grimes, along with Edwin Lionel "Punky" Meadows, who formed the band "The Intruders" in Washington, D.C., in 1964. A year later, they moved to Arlington, changed their name to "The English Setters," and released three 45s. By the summer of 1967, they had changed their name again, finally becoming "Cherry People." They regularly played nightclubs and school dance floors. After a trip to New York, the band secured a contract with Heritage Records and spent the fall of 1967 recording an album, which was released in May 1968. Although the band officially disbanded in 1975, they never again replicated the success of their early years. Guitarist "Punky" Meadows achieved success with the hard rock band Angel in the mid-70s. In 2005, the Grimes brothers reformed Cherry People.

Tracks:

01. And Suddenly – 0:00

02. Girl On The Subway – 2:12

03.
