NEW YEAR’S COUNTDOWN GOES WRONG AFTER BALLOON DROP FAILS<br />WITH VID<br />By Divij Mayer<br />A group of friends anticipated ringing in the New Year at home however, their carefully planned balloon drop didn’t quite go as expected.<br />The video, filmed on a tripod by Trisha Reilly, from Abbotsford, Canada, shows Trisha alongside friends counting down to midnight with excitement.<br />As the final seconds tick away, the group cheers, waiting for balloons to fall behind them.<br />Instead, nothing happens. The balloons stubbornly stay put, turning the big New Year’s moment into an instant comedy fail as the group realizes the drop didn’t work.<br />The clip was shared on Instagram. <br />One user commented: “Ours did the same.”<br />ENDS
