ASELSAN has announced the deployment of the KORKUT 8×8/140 Very Short-Range Air Defense System, now integrated into 35 wheeled armored tactical vehicles.<br /><br />Developed for low-altitude air defense, the system has been configured to operate across different mission scenarios and terrain types, incorporating new operational capabilities with a focus on mobility and flexibility.<br /><br />KORKUT had previously entered the inventory of security forces in its tracked version and has also achieved export success. The new integration on 8×8 platforms aims to significantly enhance the system’s strategic and tactical mobility. This configuration was publicly unveiled for the first time at Eurosatory 2024, held in Paris, where the system also demonstrated its performance by successfully neutralizing a moving aerial target during live-fire tests.<br /><br />Source and images: ASELSAN
