<br />Images released by Chinese media show four Type 055 guided-missile destroyers — Nanchang (hull 101), Lhasa (102), Anshan (103), and Wuxi (104) — operating in formation during the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s first maritime training exercise of 2026 in the Yellow Sea.<br />According to official information, at the beginning of the new year the ships cast off their moorings and proceeded to a designated area of the Yellow Sea, where they conducted a series of activities focused on scenarios close to real combat.<br />The training syllabus included live-fire naval gun engagements against maritime targets, simulated strikes ashore, the use of live munitions and electronic warfare jamming bombs, as well as maneuvering and command training in complex operational situations.<br />The joint presence of all four vessels underscores the growing capability of China’s surface fleet to conduct high-intensity integrated operations, combining advanced sensors, long-range air defense, and strike power.<br />Source and images: China Military Online
