A 28-year-old woman was brutally murdered by slitting her throat in the Chapalaghatta area near the city railway station in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.<br /><br />The deceased has been identified as Uma, who worked in railway catering. Police said she was married 13 years ago and had three sons. She separated from her husband, a native of Andhra Pradesh, around five to six years ago. Two of her children were living with her, while one son stays with his father.<br /><br />According to police sources, Uma was allegedly involved in an illicit relationship with a local youth. Investigators suspect that the man with whom she was in a relationship may be behind the murder.<br /><br />Superintendent of Police S. Jahnavi, Additional SP G. Manjunath and DySP T. Manjunath visited the crime scene and conducted an inspection.
