Filipina entrepreneur, global traveler, and author Angely Dub does not often post about herself on social media.<br /><br />Her platforms are primarily used to highlight her experiential travel business, Access Travel.<br /><br />So when something personal peeked into her PEP Live! interview, show host and Rachelle Siazon did not waste time asking about that personal item that caught her attention.<br /><br />It was Angely's affectionate pet dog, Nala, who, even before the live interview started, was licking, nuzzling, and asking for cuddles from Angely.<br /><br />"Rottweiler siya, Nala, she's nine months old," introduced Angely.<br /><br />The self-made businesswoman and podcaster then shared a heartbreaking information about her dog.<br /><br />"She lost her sibling last Saturday sa accident, si Champ, corgi yun."<br /><br />Angely said one-year-old Champ met his end after jumping from the family's car.<br /><br />She and her family felt Nala was more affected by the loss.<br /><br />"That's why we're here now to support her emotionally. Kasi for us, yung pets namin, family members namin.<br /><br />"So feeling namin, yung shock ng pagkawala ng dog namin, siya yung nag-absorb."<br /><br />This statement aligned with a published research about the emotional contagion or bond between humans and dogs.<br /><br />Titled Emotional Contagion From Humans to Dogs Is Facilitated by Duration of Ownership. it was posted on Frontiers, a respected science journalism website.<br /><br />The research said that depending on the length and frequency of their affiliative relationship, the owner and the dog share and even mirror each other's emotional states.<br /><br />It also concluded that this emotional bond is beneficial for both parties.<br /><br />Humans with dogs often report lower stress and better heart health, while dogs benefit from shared routines and social bonding.<br /><br />Good thing, Angely is already feeling better about what happened.<br /><br />"So, kaya I'm dealing with that ngayon.
