Stocks bonds and mutual funds experience so much volatility of late investors are very interested in taking a serious look at alternatives. These asset classes are traditionally not open to the average investor, but average investors are trying to knock down the door and find out if they can get in on these types of things. These alternatives are PIPE funds, which are private investment in public equity, Life Settlement funds, green energy deals, distressed debt, and oil and gas projects. One of the reasons theyre very popular is that they have very little correlation with the traditional markets.
