A fresh development has intensified public outrage in the Dwarka road accident case in which 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra lost his life on February 3, 2026.

Sahil’s mother, Inna Makan, has renewed her demand for justice, alleging that the minor accused was speeding his Mahindra Scorpio to film a social media reel — a reckless act that allegedly cost her son his life.

Video Surfaces, Family Raises Questions

A video that has surfaced online purportedly shows a girl seated beside the teenage driver filming as he drives at high speed. In the footage, the SUV is seen swerving, narrowly missing a bus, before allegedly colliding head-on with Sahil’s motorcycle at around 11:57 am near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka.

The family claims that the reel circulating on social media has been trimmed just before the exact moment of impact.

According to the allegations, the Scorpio was being driven in the wrong lane before it first struck Sahil’s motorcycle and then rammed into a parked taxi, seriously injuring its driver.

Minor Driver, No Licence

Police identified the driver as a 17-year-old minor, though some early reports had mentioned him as 19. Investigations confirmed that he did not possess a valid driving licence at the time of the accident.

The Scorpio involved in the crash was found to have 13 pending challans, including nine for overspeeding — most of them issued in Uttar Pradesh.

Legal Action and Bail Row

The Delhi Police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash driving and causing death by negligence. The minor’s father is also being prosecuted under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicles Act for allowing a minor to drive.

On February 10, the Juvenile Justice Board granted the minor interim bail to enable him to appear for his Class 10 board examinations. The decision has sparked significant public backlash.

Autopsy Findings

An autopsy report confirmed that Sahil died on the spot due to severe haemorrhage and cranio-cerebral injuries, including a fractured skull and multiple broken ribs.

The investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash is ongoing.

#Dwarka #DelhiAccident #JusticeForSahil #RoadSafety #JuvenileDriver #HitAndRun #ReelCulture #BNS #DelhiPolice #BreakingNews
