WEIRD LOOKING SPIKED INSECT LOOKS LIKE AN 'ALIEN'<br />With VID<br />By Devanshu Yadav<br />Checkout this bizarre spiky insect that looks more alien than grasshopper.<br />Kayne Lawton from New South Wales, Australia filmed the unusual creature after spotting it up close.<br />The insect was covered in sharp looking spikes and had an almost otherworldly appearance.<br />The rare encounter left him amazed and he couldn't help but share online.<br />The actual insect is called a Extatosoma tiaratum but is more commonly known as the spiny leaf insect/<br />One user commented : ‘Wow!! He's so cool looking!! Reminds me of a Praying Mantis on steroids!!’<br />A second added : ‘Your new pet.’<br />ENDS
