A video showing the son of a BJP MLA allegedly slapping a toll worker at Raibha Toll Plaza in Agra has surfaced on social media, triggering controversy.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when Suresh Chaudhary, son of Chaudhary Babulal, MLA from Fatehpur Sikri, was travelling in a car marked “MLA” from Mathura to Gwalior.

According to toll authorities, the vehicle did not have a FASTag. Despite displaying a VIP/assembly sticker, the barrier was not opened for nearly two minutes, leading to an argument between Suresh and the toll staff.

CCTV footage from the plaza shows Suresh stepping out of the car and allegedly slapping toll worker Sanjay Singh, a resident of Daureta in Agra, twice. As he began returning to his vehicle, he suddenly turned back and attempted to approach the worker again but was restrained by other toll employees. It is reported that his wife and children were present in the car during the incident.

The toll worker alleged that since the vehicle bore a Mathura (UP-85) registration number and lacked FASTag, he asked for Aadhaar identification for verification. He claimed the request led to verbal abuse and physical assault.

Toll Manager Ishwar Sharma confirmed that the vehicle did not have FASTag and that staff sought Aadhaar verification, which triggered the altercation.

Meanwhile, MLA Chaudhary Babulal defended his son, alleging that the toll employee misbehaved first. He claimed that Suresh introduced himself, informed staff about the assembly sticker, and attempted to connect them over a phone call, but they refused. The MLA termed the viral video a conspiracy by political opponents and questioned how common citizens are treated if an elected representative faces such behaviour.

No official statement regarding legal action had been issued at the time of reporting.

#Agra #BJP #TollPlaza #ViralVideo #UPPolitics #FASTag #BreakingNews #LawAndOrder
