A case highlighting alleged municipal negligence has surfaced in Pilkhuwa town of Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a bike rider and his two children fell into an open drain on a busy market road. The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera (8 March 2026).<br /><br />According to eyewitnesses, the man was riding toward the market with his children when the motorcycle suddenly lost balance near an uncovered drain on the roadside close to Gandhi Bazaar. As a result, all three fell into the drain, causing panic in the area.<br /><br />Local shopkeepers and passersby rushed to the spot and immediately started rescue efforts. After considerable effort, the man and both children were safely pulled out of the drain.<br /><br />Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, though the bike rider and the two children sustained minor injuries in the accident.<br /><br />CCTV footage of the incident shows the motorcycle suddenly veering toward the roadside before the rider and children fall into the open drain.
