जलवायु कार्यकर्ता Sonam Wangchuk की हिरासत को केंद्र सरकार ने तुरंत प्रभाव से रद्द करने का फैसला किया है। Ministry of Home Affairs ने शनिवार को जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि यह निर्णय National Security Act के तहत मिले अधिकारों का इस्तेमाल करते हुए लिया गया है। मंत्रालय के अनुसार, लद्दाख में शांति, स्थिरता और आपसी विश्वास का माहौल बनाए रखने के उद्देश्य से यह कदम उठाया गया है। <br /> <br />दरअसल, लद्दाख में 24 सितंबर 2025 को कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति बिगड़ने के बाद 26 सितंबर को जिला मजिस्ट्रेट के आदेश पर वांगचुक को NSA के तहत हिरासत में लिया गया था। इस मामले में Supreme Court of India ने भी दखल देते हुए हिरासत को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई तय की थी। अब सरकार का कहना है कि क्षेत्र से जुड़े मुद्दों का समाधान संवाद और रचनात्मक बातचीत के जरिए निकाला जाएगा, ताकि लद्दाख में शांति और विकास दोनों बनाए रखे जा सकें। <br /> <br />Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s detention has been revoked with immediate effect by the central government. The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Saturday that the decision was taken using powers granted under the National Security Act (NSA). According to the ministry, the step was taken to maintain peace, stability, and mutual trust in Ladakh and to create an environment for constructive dialogue with all stakeholders. <br /> <br />Wangchuk had been detained under the NSA on September 26, 2025, following an order by the district magistrate after a serious law-and-order situation developed in Ladakh on September 24, 2025. The matter had also reached the Supreme Court of India, which had scheduled a hearing on a petition challenging his detention.
