STUNNING STARLING MURMURATION<br />WITH VID<br />BY SALONI MATHUR<br />Watch this video of a mesmerising murmuration of rosy starlings.<br />Payal Mehta, a wildlife guide and trainer from Mumbai, India, was in Ahmedabad when she noticed this captivating dance in the sky.<br />A huge flock of rosy starlings moved together in a synchronised pattern across the sky.<br />Thousands to over a million birds create, shifting, cloud-like shapes at dusk, primarily observed in Gujarat, India.<br />The birds move as a single, coordinated "living organism" without a leader, often creating complex, twisting shapes in the sky just before sunset.<br />Payal said: “These starlings can be seen doing their evening ritual of elaborate murmuration seemingly unperturbed by the chaos of the city.<br />“This is what they do every day before they settle for the night in their winter home.”<br />ENDs
