An 11-year-old girl lost her life after being run over by an out-of-control tractor-trolley in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in an incident captured on CCTV.<br /><br />The accident occurred around 11 am on Monday (23 March 2026) in Aliwardipur village under the Ecotech-3 police station area. The victim, identified as Alafiya, had come with her mother and sister to her aunt’s house to celebrate Eid.<br /><br />According to police, Alafiya was playing with her cousin Tooba in a narrow lane outside the house when a tractor-trolley loaded with construction material, stationed behind a dumper, suddenly moved forward. The driver allegedly lost control and rammed into the area where the children were walking.<br /><br />Alafiya was crushed under the wheels of the vehicle and sustained critical injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her cousin Tooba was also trapped under the tractor but escaped without injuries.<br /><br />The driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police reached the spot after receiving information, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem. The tractor-trolley has been seized.<br /><br />Ecotech-3 SHO Ajay Kumar said an FIR has been registered based on a complaint by the victim’s family, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding driver.<br /><br />Family members said Alafiya was a student in Ghaziabad and had come to celebrate the festival.
