HABOOB DUST STORM SWEEPS THROUGH TEXAS <br />WITH VID<br />BY JAIANSH SHARMA<br />A massive wall of dust engulfs roads near Smith International Airport in Texas as strong winds reduce visibility to near zero.<br />Michelle Trevino from Texas, USA, filmed the scene from inside a vehicle as a haboob moved through the area, rapidly turning the sky brown and covering the surroundings in dust. <br />The footage shows debris being blown across the road while vehicles slow down and pull over due to the dangerous conditions.<br />The video captures the intensity of the storm, with sand hitting the windshield and visibility dropping significantly. <br />At one point, the strong winds are seen powerful enough to overturn a trailer, highlighting the force of the dust storm.<br />As the haboob passes, the landscape, utility poles, and nearby structures become faintly visible through the haze, showing the impact of the storm across the area.<br />Viewers reacted to the conditions in the comments.<br />One wrote: “I saw this while driving the loop home and started singing ‘it’s raining mud’ it would be a great song for Lubbock on the rare occasion that it rains.”
