A helicopter-like drone crashed into a wheat field in Nandpur village under the Saifai area of Etawah district on Friday evening around 6:30 pm, triggering panic among local residents.<br /><br />According to officials, the drone crash occurred during a test flight being conducted by LAT Aerospace with prior permission from the Civil Aviation Department. The UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) reportedly lost control due to a technical fault and fell into the field.<br /><br />The unusual helicopter-like appearance of the drone created fear among villagers, leading to a large crowd gathering at the spot. Locals immediately informed the police.<br /><br />Police and fire brigade teams rushed to the scene, cordoned off the area as a precaution, and ensured public safety. Officials also initiated an on-site inspection.<br /><br />Additional District Magistrate Abhinav Ranjan Srivastava confirmed that the test flight was authorised from the Saifai airstrip and clarified that no casualties or property damage were reported.
