RARE LENTICULAR CLOUDS CAUGHT ON CAMERA
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
Check out the incredible moment rare lenticular clouds form above Patagonia’s iconic mountain range, creating a surreal visual.
Gonzalo Manuel Paredes, from Jujuy, Argentina, captured the breathtaking scenes in El Chaltén, Argentina.
The footage begins with hikers trekking along the trail to Laguna de los Tres during the Patagonian autumn, surrounded by vibrant red and orange hues of lenga and ñire trees.
As one hiker turns the camera toward himself, the sky behind reveals a massive, multi-layered lenticular cloud hovering above the jagged granite peaks of the Fitz Roy massif.
These unusual clouds often compared to flying saucers, appear almost perfectly still despite strong winds, adding to their mysterious appearance.
The camera focuses on a sharp mountain peak piercing through thick “waterfall clouds” that seem to cascade over the ridges.
The rare cloud formations often spark curiosity, with some viewers comparing them to cosmic or spiritual phenomena due to their unusual shape and behaviour.
Gonzalo said: I still don’t understand what we live in right now… someone explain it to me, please.
Viewers were left amazed by the scene in the comments.
One wrote: “Beyond scientific explanation, it was pure magic!”
Another added: “Very strange cloud formations, people think it’s something spiritual or even cosmic”
ENDS
