RAINBOW HALO AROUND THE SUN <br />WITH VID<br />BY SALONI MATHUR<br />Watch this breathtaking video of this unique weather phenomenon in Oahu, Hawaii. <br />Kaya Waldman from Kauai, Hawaii, witnessed a rainbow ring around the sun. <br />Kaya immediately took her phone out and recorded this rare occurrence. <br />This rainbow ring around the sun, known as a 22° halo or "sunbow," is an optical phenomenon caused by sunlight refracting through millions of hexagonal ice crystals in high-altitude cirrus clouds. <br />These crystals bend light at an angle, often creating a white or faintly coloured ring, with red on the inside and blue outside.<br />One follower commented on the video: “Heaven is already here on Earth.”<br />Another wrote: “Halos are the most beautiful things in this world.”<br />ENDS
