Attack on Moving Train: Iron Pipe Hurled at Taj Express, 2 Passengers Injured

Two passengers were injured after unidentified persons allegedly hurled an iron pipe at the Taj Express between Palwal and Hodal stations on Friday morning ( 1 May 2026), officials said.<br /><br />According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the incident occurred around 8 am when a 2 to 2.5-foot-long iron pipe was thrown at the moving train, which operates between New Delhi and Jhansi. The impact shattered the window of coach D-6, causing injuries to two passengers seated nearby.<br /><br />One of the injured has been identified as Rajesh Aggarwal, a resident of Faridabad, who suffered facial injuries due to shattered glass. Both injured passengers were provided immediate medical assistance at Mathura Junction.<br /><br />Based on a complaint filed by Aggarwal, a case has been registered at the GRP police station in Mathura.
