Autumn — Comes… Autumn 1971 (Australia, Psychedelic-Proto-Progressive Rock)

One of the underrated bands of the 70s… Based in Sydney (1969-1977). Their first single was released on EMI. Producers' dictates pushed the musicians toward a "bubblegum" style, which, while contributing to commercial success, also labeled them as a "popular" band. After changing labels, the imbalance began to level out; a cover of the English song "Christie," "Yellow River," brought them huge success. A total of four singles were released on the new label before the label decided to release their debut LP, "Song To Raymondo" (1971), which consisted of a hodgepodge of old singles and new songs, indicating the musicians' growing potential. It fully manifested itself on their second album, "Comes Autumn" (1971), released on the giant Warner Bros. label. In 1972, during a trip to the UK, the members had a bitter falling out, although no official breakup was announced. Three of them formed the band "Mecca," and then, after moving to Canada, joined "Wireless." The vocalist and bassist, on the other hand, formed a new lineup of Autumn in Sydney in 1976, but ultimately broke up without releasing anything noteworthy... Tony Romeril, who had worked for a time in Italy under the pseudonym Andy Foxx, wrote material for a solo album, which was never released...

Tracks:
01. Falling — 3:19
02.
