Amid the early trends of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly election results, Leader of Opposition and BJP candidate from Nandigram and Bhabanipur, Suvendu Adhikari, made a strong statement. He claimed that Hindu voters across the state are united in support of Narendra Modi and that after four rounds of counting, the BJP is in a position to form the government. <br /> <br />Adhikari said that in Bhabanipur, he conceded a deficit of around 2,000 votes in the first round, which covered a Muslim-majority area. However, after the second round, which included a Hindu-majority area, he took a lead of 2,200 votes.
