Mount Dukono erupted on Friday morning in northern Indonesia, sending ash and smoke up to 10 kilometers into the sky. Seventeen hikers were escorted from the mountain’s slopes to safety following the eruption. Two Singaporeans and one Indonesian remain missing after the incident, with search operations ongoing. Authorities say earlier reports from survivors suggesting fatalities have not been confirmed.
