RARE IRIDESCENT CLOUD FORMATION STUNS SKYWATCHERS IN ICELAND<br />WITH VID<br /><br />BY JAIANSH SHARMA<br /><br />Check out this breathtaking moment a rare lenticular cloud begins glowing with vibrant rainbow colours above the Icelandic countryside.<br /><br />Captured by Andreea Mercurean in Kjósarhreppur, Iceland, the footage shows an unusual cloud formation transforming into a spectacular display of colour.<br /><br />The video reveals a massive lenticular cloud often described as one of the strangest-looking cloud types in the sky hovering above the landscape as its edges suddenly begin to shimmer with pinks, greens, blues, and other rainbow hues.<br /><br />The phenomenon, known as cloud iridescence, occurs when sunlight interacts with tiny water droplets or ice crystals within the cloud, creating vivid bands of colour.<br /><br />Filmed while relaxing with friends at a summer house, the witness said the display stopped everyone in their tracks as the colours spread across the cloud's edge.<br /><br />Andreea said: “The sky in Iceland is always full of surprises, but this completely stopped me. It was one of the most incredible moments I have witnessed here.”<br /><br />Viewers were amazed by the rare phenomenon in the comments.<br /><br />One wrote: “Omg.
