In January of 1945 the city of Dresden, untouched until that time, was decimated and at least 100,000 innocent German civilians were incinerated in a Holocaust of sheer criminal mass murder while Germany was on her knees. <br /><br />Adolph Hitler is widely credited with instigating "terror bombing" but this is quite untrue. It was Winston Churchill who instigated the first "terror raids" on Germany in an attempt to goad Hitler - it worked. <br /><br />Dresden was a war crime of epic proportions - tens of thousands of refugee's fleeing the Soviets were crammed into the city center and were liquefied or turned to charred ash. <br /><br />So just who were the "war criminals"? <br /><br />Like all history - it is written by the victors. <br /><br />It is time to take a good close up second look at the second world war and sort fact from fiction. <br /><br />we can start by recognising the war crimes of the victorious allies.
