At least eight people are dead following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao. The offshore quake struck about 24 kilometers west of Sarangani Province, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.<br /><br />Based on an initial assessment, two schools, two hospitals, fourteen commercial establishments, and two residential houses were damaged.
