A video purportedly showing a man using a laptop while riding a motorcycle in Hyderabad's Hitec City has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns over road safety and workplace culture.

The incident reportedly took place on Friday, June 12. The viral video shows the rider operating a laptop placed on the motorcycle's fuel tank while travelling on a busy road.

The clip quickly drew widespread attention online, with many users expressing alarm over the dangerous act and the potential risk it posed to both the rider and other commuters.

Social media users reacted with a mix of humour and criticism. While one user sarcastically called the rider the "Best Employee of the Year," another labelled him the "Worst Rider of the Year."

Reacting to the viral video, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar urged people to prioritise road safety.

In a post on X, Sajjanar said, "Every task has its own method. But seeing people risking their lives to work from a bike like this... the saying that 'when greed gets too much, it turns against your own life' feels literally true."

He further warned that failing to concentrate on the road endangers not only the rider but also other road users.

"Remember... the work you do to fill your stomach shouldn't end up starving you," he said, while appealing to the public to avoid such irresponsible behaviour and travel safely.

However, the Commissioner's remarks also sparked debate online. Several users criticised the wording of his comments and questioned whether the rider was under work-related pressure.

One user remarked that instead of criticising the individual, authorities should identify the company allegedly imposing such demands and take action against it. Another urged the Commissioner to be more careful with his choice of words, while acknowledging the importance of road safety campaigns such as "Arrive Alive."

The incident has reignited discussions on road safety, workplace pressure and responsible behaviour on public roads.

#HitecCity #ViralVideo #RoadSafety #WorkCulture #Motorcycle
