South Korea dethrones Vietnam<br /><br />South Korea cruised past defending champion Vietnam, 25-20, 25-19, 25-23, to secure a spot in the finals of the 2026 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Cup on Saturday night at the Candon City Arena.<br /><br />The South Koreans, who skipped last year’s AVC Women’s Cup as their national team competed in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), topped Pool A with victories over Uzbekistan, Australia, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, and Taiwan.<br /><br />Vietnam, meanwhile, finished second in Pool B with a 4-1 record against Indonesia, Iran, Hong Kong, and Lebanon.
