From Hell It Came is a 1957 American science-fiction horror film directed by Dan Milner and written by Richard Bernstein, from a story by Bernstein and Jack Milner. It was released by Allied Artists in August 1957, on a double bill with The Disembodied (1957).

A wrongfully accused South Seas prince is executed, and returns as a walking tree stump out for revenge.

'From Hell It Came' delivers unintentional laughs and campy charm that make it enjoyable so-bad-it's-good entertainment, with its unique walking tree monster earning nostalgic affection from fans. However, the film suffers from wooden acting, absurd logic where victims can't outrun a slow-moving tree, laughably bad dialogue, and deeply problematic racist portrayals of indigenous people with patronizing white savior themes that haven't aged well. Best watched in a group setting.

Credits:
Tod Andrews as Dr. William Arnold
Tina Carver as Dr. Terry Mason
Linda Watkins as Mrs. Mae Kilgore
John McNamara as Prof. Clark
Gregg Palmer as Kimo
Robert Swan as Tano
Baynes Barron as Chief Maranka
Suzanne Ridgeway as Korey
Mark Sheeler as Eddie
Lee Rhodes as Norgu
Grace Mathews as Orchid
Tani Marsh as Naomi
Chester Hayes as Maku / The Tabanga
Lenmana Guerin as Dori
