Russian President Vladimir Putin holds bilateral meetings with leaders of Philippine, Brunei, Malaysia on the evening of an Asean summit in the central Russian city of Kazan. During talks with the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, Putin says 'the strategic partnership between Russia and the Asean is a key stabilizing factor in the Asia-Pacific region.'
