A major twist has emerged in the high-profile Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case in Bihar’s Bhojpur district. Following Tiwari’s death in a police encounter, a Murder case has now been registered against the Jagdishpur SDPO, the then Shahpur Station House Officer, and several other police personnel. The FIR was filed on the complaint of Tiwari’s mother, Asha Devi, who alleged that her son had surrendered before the police but was still shot dead. Given the seriousness of the allegations, five police personnel have already been suspended, and a judicial inquiry has been ordered. The family has also claimed that a mobile phone still in police custody may contain crucial evidence related to the incident.
