RARE MAMMATUS CLOUDS FILL THE SKY OVER HISTORIC UK TOWN<br /><br />WITH VID<br /><br />BY LOGAN ROSS<br /><br />This incredible video captures a set of rare and dramatic mammatus clouds filling the sky above a Durham, UK.<br /><br />As the camera pans across the scene, the distinctive shapes of the mammatus clouds are revealed. <br /><br />The footage filmed at Durham university on June 26th then tilts down to showcase the historic stone buildings.<br /><br />Mammatus clouds are known for their unique hanging formations and are often associated with powerful storm systems, forming when pockets of sinking air descend beneath larger cloud structures.
