She said the industry has changed a lot — earlier, actors had to attend auditions in person, but now most auditions happen from home. Today, there are also many new platforms for actors, like OTT, YouTube, and Instagram. The actress shared that she was once stuck playing only negative roles and had to turn down good money to avoid being typecast. She believes actors need to be versatile to sustain a long career. Simple also spoke about what keeps an actor going: talent, hard work, discipline, and knowing how to promote yourself. She expressed that television now offers women stronger roles and that age is no longer a major barrier for actresses. Simple also shared her views on TRP pressure, stating that it does affect stories at times because channels need revenue to run shows. The actress revealed her desire to do reality shows, especially music-based ones, since she has trained in classical music. Commenting on Ram Kapoor’s statement about cheating being a dealbreaker on the reality show Lock Upp, Simple said cheating has no excuse and that honesty is a must.
