VET TECH RESCUES DROWNING RACCOON FROM LAKE HURON<br /><br />WITH VID<br /><br />BY LAKSHYARTHA SHARMA<br /><br />Watch this heartwarming clip where a woman paddles out on her paddleboard to rescue a raccoon struggling to stay afloat in Lake Huron after it unexpectedly jumped from a boat into the open water.<br /><br />Maddy Gaukroger, from Ontario, Canada, captured the incredible rescue while out on Lake Huron near Grand Bend with her friend, Kylie Fekete, a registered veterinary technician.<br /><br />The pair were enjoying a day on the water when they suddenly discovered a raccoon had been hiding inside their boat. Startled, the animal crawled out and leapt into the lake, quickly becoming exhausted as it struggled to swim.<br /><br />Without hesitation, they turned the boat around as Kylie grabbed her paddleboard and carefully approached the distressed raccoon.
